Terms of service
The terms on which we quote, produce and deliver. Last updated 2 August 2026.
These terms apply to orders placed with Tailorshop Maldives, a brand of Daisy Holding Pvt Ltd (registration C-07932022), whether through this website, by email, by phone or in person. Placing an order means you accept them.
1. Quotations
A quotation is our written offer for a specific set of garments, quantities, fabrics and branding. It is not binding until you accept it in writing and we confirm the order.
- Quotes are valid for [30] days from the date issued.
- Prices depend on quantity. If your final quantity differs materially from the quoted quantity, we will requote.
- Fabric availability and exchange rates can move. Where a quoted fabric is no longer available, we will offer the closest alternative for your approval before proceeding.
- Unless stated otherwise, quotes exclude delivery and applicable GST.
2. Orders and deposits
- An order is confirmed when you accept the quotation and pay the deposit.
- We require a [50%] deposit before production begins, with the balance due on completion.
- Production time is counted from the later of: cleared deposit, approved design or sample, and receipt of all measurements.
3. Measurements and sizing
Garments are produced to the measurements recorded at the sizing session, or to the size breakdown you supply.
- Where we take measurements ourselves, at our factory or at a sizing day on your site, we are responsible for their accuracy.
- Where you supply measurements or a size breakdown, you are responsible for their accuracy. Remakes needed because of supplied measurements are chargeable.
- We recommend approving a sample garment before we produce a large run. Once a sample is approved, it defines the standard for the rest of the order.
4. Artwork, logos and branding
- By sending us artwork you confirm you own it or have permission to use it, and you accept responsibility for any third-party claim arising from its use.
- Vector artwork gives the best result. We can digitise a logo for embroidery; the resulting embroidery file remains ours, but we will not use it for anyone else.
- Embroidery thread and printed colours are matched as closely as the process allows. Exact colour matching to a screen or a printed reference cannot be guaranteed.
- We will not publish your logo as a client reference without asking you first.
5. Fabrics and colour
Fabric swatches and on-screen colours are a guide. Natural variation between dye lots is normal and is not a defect. Where exact consistency matters across a large order, tell us at quotation stage so we can reserve a single dye lot.
6. Production and delivery
- Lead times are estimates given in good faith and confirmed in your quotation. We will tell you promptly if a date is at risk.
- We are not liable for delays outside our control, including shipping delays, customs, supplier shortages and severe weather.
- Collection is from our Malé locations. Delivery within Greater Malé and to the atolls can be arranged and is quoted separately.
- Risk passes to you on collection, or on handover to the carrier or boat.
7. Inspection, alterations and defects
- Please inspect your order on receipt and tell us about any issue within [7] days.
- Manufacturing defects, our stitching, our construction, our measurement error, are corrected or remade at our cost.
- Alterations arising from a change of mind, weight change, or measurements you supplied are chargeable.
- Fair wear and tear, damage from incorrect laundering, and alteration by a third party are not covered.
8. Changes and cancellation
- Changes requested after production has started may affect price and delivery date, and may not be possible.
- Because uniforms are made to order and branded to you, cancellation after cutting has begun is not possible. Deposits are non-refundable once fabric has been cut or branded.
- If you cancel before cutting, we will refund your deposit less any costs already incurred on fabric, digitising and design.
9. Stock shop purchases
Ready-made stock items bought through the shop may be returned unworn, unwashed and in original condition within [7] days. Items that have been printed, embroidered or otherwise personalised cannot be returned unless faulty.
10. Payment
- We accept local card payment, bank transfer, and payment on collection.
- Goods remain our property until paid for in full.
- We may hold delivery on an account with an overdue balance.
11. Liability
Our liability for any order is limited to the value of that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit or business interruption. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Maldives, and the courts of the Maldives have exclusive jurisdiction.
